I’m a communications professional living in Burnaby, British Columbia. If you’d like to know more about my professional qualifications, please see my CV or portfolio! If you’d prefer knowing who I am and what I’m doing now, please read on.
In 2018, I began a fulfilling position as the Publications Manager at the BCIT Student Association. In this role, I produce a monthly magazine, as well as several annual print materials. I also have the opportunity to work with a team of students, who I teach and learn from every day.
Before working with the BCITSA, I spent just over three years as the Executive Director of the Federation of BC Writers. I love education and am always interested in building my skills by attending courses, workshops, and events. I’m currently a board member of the Magazine Association of BC.
I do my best to write articles and blogs on topics I’m passionate about, including animal care, art, food & beverage, home decor, real estate, and social justice. If your project has anything to do with these topics, I’m probably interested. Beyond this, I’m also able to assist with website design, create social media posts, write grant applications, and offer editorial and publishing advice.
I genuinely enjoy working with writers in the publishing industry, but I have many other interests as well. I paint, draw, sculpt, and embroider. I have two dogs, four gerbils, and eight fish. I have a multitude of plants, and I love to purchase local art.
Not sure if we’ll work well together? Well, reach out and say hello. If my schedule allows, I’m happy to get a coffee with you and talk about your projects. I would love to hear what you’re working on, and that initial chat is just that—a chat.
